Inspiration: Layout of pictures/problems

The layout of the pictures down the left hand side appeals to me as they catch your eye, introducing you to the contents of the magazine that you are about to read. It gives you an insight into who the magazine will contain and what it will disscuss, using a varriety of different coloured photos to help make each one standout and appear different. Instead of using photos with the same colour background, causing them to merge and be less effective towards catching you eye.
I find the placement of the main picture to cover too much of the magazine name. Because Kerrang is a noticeable name this magazine doesn't standout to you as much as it should, due to the name being hidden. Misleading custumers into not noticing their magazine brand, losing posible buyers.

  1. Kerrang is a really complex cover, think about all the layers they use, every issue features posters, posters, posters, and relies on collector issues. What does this tell us about the audience for Kerrang?

The colour palette is also completely different to the other music magazines with a penchant for gaudy colours (they also rely on banner lines at the top and bottom).

You can do wayyyy more analysis with this
